White Heath's myspace only tells half the story and their live show is something else so you really need to get down early to see them as well.White Heath is a band of five friends formed in early 2008 and based in Edinburgh, united by a common love of Twin Peaks and all night games of Risk. We write songs using piano, guitar, violin, trombone, percussion and vocals, and our aim is to write music with imagination and honesty, taking our cues from the songs of The Band, the compositions of Mahler and Bartók and the innovative attitudes of bands such as Mogwai, Talking Heads and Tool. We enjoy performing in any setting, from intimate venues like the GRV and Henry’s Cellar Bar to large-scale collaborations with the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show. This summer we are making our festival debut at the Kelburn Garden Party, with fresh recordings planned.

Glasgow based two-piece Midnight Lion are a bit of an enigma. Their music is at once full of the melodies and huge choruses found in the studio pop bands of the 80s like Simple Minds, yet it maintains an art-house leaning that evokes the dark, subtle moments of artists akin to Talk Talk. And it’s a sound that imbues the influence of living and creating music in the forward thinking city they call home."There is something wonderfully bracing about coming across a new band prepared to paint in big, bold colours – and Midnight Lion certainly do that" Sunday Times Culture
"building-shaking stuff that demands attention" Abeano

Melododramatic indie songsmith Steve Heron has spent two years assembling a band of musical brothers around Edinburgh and has been quietly gathering fans throughout Scotland with the bands catchy hooks, honest lyrics and all round finely crafted songs.
Currently showing up at venues all over the country and endearing themselves to audiences. Their mix of angular jangly guitar, melodic bass lines and precise drumming, certainly make them a band to look out for. With a follow up their debut album and EP currenty in the works, they seem set to expand their repotiore of catchy and interesting songs and establish themselves up their with Edinburgh's finest bands.
