SUMMARY:The Swiss Family Orbison - Coo Stick Tour
DESCRIPTION:  \nFormed in the late 90’s around the acclaimed songwriting partnership of Kit Clark (Danny Wilson)\, Keith Matheson (The Pearlfishers) and Gregor Philp (Deacon Blue)\, The Swiss Family Orbison now only very rarely perform together – either as a full-on electric power-pop outfit or\, as they appear tonight\, in their quieter\, more introspective acoustic form. \nWhatever the format though\, it has always been about the songs. Melody\, poetry\, honesty\, wit\, harmonies and harmonica. Swiss Family or Bison? You decide. \n  \n \nLinks\ntheswissfamilyorbison \n

From Starsailor hits to heartfelt solo tracks – every performance is unforgettable \n  \nBen Ottewell is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist best known as a founding member of the critically acclaimed British band Gomez. Ottewell’s distinctive baritone voice and blues-inspired guitar work became central to Gomez’s unique sound.\nGomez formed in the late 1990s\, quickly gaining attention for their eclectic style\, which blended blues\, rock\, folk\, and indie influences. Gomez’s 1998 debut album\, Bring It On\, was a breakout success\, winning the prestigious Mercury Prize and propelling the band to international recognition. \nThroughout Gomez’s career\, Ottewell’s soulful voice and introspective lyrics resonated with fans\, earning him a dedicated following. His solo career saw him exploring a more stripped-down acoustic sound\, showcasing his raw talent and emotive storytelling. Ben is well known for his unmistakable voice and talent for blistering and inspired guitar solos. \nAnd as GQ Magazine once wrote and anyone listening can attest\, “[his] voice is not of this world.” \n \n \nLinks\njameswalshmusic \n  \nbenottewell \n

SUMMARY:Destroyer (Solo)
DESCRIPTION:Dan Bejar started Destroyer as a solo home-recording project in the early to mid-nineties. Exploring and overturning genres such as glam\, MIDI\, yacht rock\, and even underground Spanish independent artists\, Bejar was proclaimed “Rock’s Exiled King” by The Fader. His is a body of work that consistently flouts convention in favor of musical leaps of faith\, statements of purpose cloaked in subterfuge\, and the joyous refrain of an optimist’s heart cloaked in cynicism. \n  \n \n \nLinks\nwww.websiteaddress.com \n

SUMMARY:Chris Helme
DESCRIPTION:From his breakthrough success with The Seahorses to an enduring solo career\, Chris Helme has always excelled at pouring his heart into music – in the process creating songs as affectingly emotional as they are obviously accomplished. Now\, thirty years on from that first spotlight moment\, the singer-songwriter provides a taste of his ever popular live shows with the new album ‘Forest For The Trees’. \nThe record sees Chris revisit a selection of key songs from his journey so far. It covers hits and deep cuts from The Seahorses\, favourites from his solo albums ‘Ashes’ (2010) and ‘World Of My Own’ (2024)\, plus the previously unreleased ‘Fancy Free’. The material is stripped back and warm in its organic live feel – the idea being to give fans a record which reflects the show they have just seen. \nThe Seahorses were only together for less than three years\, but they achieved more than most bands do in decades: a massive Platinum-certified album\, several chart hits\, gigs with Oasis\, The Rolling Stones and U2\, working with Tony Visconti\, and selling-out tours around the world. And since then\, Chris has flourished with a solo career\, constantly playing up-and-down the country to audiences split between original Britpop-era fans and youngsters who have discovered his catalogue via their parents’ record collection. \n \n \nLinks\nchrishelme.co.uk \n

SUMMARY:John Bramwell (I Am Kloot)
DESCRIPTION:As the singer in I Am Kloot from 1999 to 2014\, John Bramwell achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night\, a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In\, numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014. \n  \nNow\, as a solo artist\, Bramwell travels a very different path\, a path that criss-crosses the length and breadth of the UK with a humble agenda of taking his heartwarming songs to the stage and enjoying another moment in time with his devoted fans. \n  \nThe stunning 2023 sophomore solo album\, The Light Fantastic was an almost complete u-turn from the I Am Kloot outlook they were known for. Darker clouds banished and in replacement strings\, four-part harmonies [a warming development\, since Kloot never had any backing vocals] and a dozen gloriously exhilarating\, beautifully crafted and observed songs about life\, humanity\, the universe and everything. As John put it\, “It’s been great to find the joy of making music once again. These are the most uplifting songs of my career.” \n  \nThe album received unanimous praise from the UK press but it is the all-encapsulating live show where Bramwell conjures up his true magic as songwriter and performer. Bramwell has been on a never-ending rolling adventure since his workings away from Kloot and in the last three years has visited almost every parish in England\, Scotland and Wales to be met with halls\, theatres\, arts centres\, churches\, festival tents and folk clubs full with his eager fans waiting to see which direction Bramwell will take the mood of the night – the enriched\, wildly playful inter-song banter is so good\, a stand up comedy tour has been contemplated. \n  \nBramwell’s razor sharp wit\, on the line and refreshingly true [and often hilarious] observations and instantly recognisable haunting vocal channelled through some of the most honest and direct songwriting of our times has seen Bramwell championed in rave reviews\, time after time. Most recently\, God Is In The TV celebrated John’s 2025 Beautiful Days performance as the highlight of the weekend. \n  \nAs Bramwell looks on to another year the 2026 road extends further and wider than before – a much anticipated tour of Ireland awaits as too many of the UK’s finest venues where John’s cultivated audiences will be treated to an unforgettable evening and experience. \n\n \n \nLinks\njohnbramwell.com \n

SUMMARY:When Rivers Meet
DESCRIPTION:From July to October 2026\, When Rivers Meet return to the stage with the Rhythm Rust & Static Tour\, following the release of their brand-new studio album Rhythm Rust & Static\, out in spring 2026.  \nRecorded with an intentionally stripped-back\, analogue-inspired approach\, Rhythm Rust & Static captures the raw essence of When Rivers Meet\, intimate\, gritty\, and emotionally charged. The tour reflects that same spirit: a smaller\, more focused on-stage setup\, delivering a huge\, immersive sound that puts songwriting\, feel\, and connection at the heart of the show. \nAudiences can expect to hear all ten tracks from the new album performed live\, alongside a carefully chosen selection of favourites from the When Rivers Meet back catalogue. Across this 14-date UK tour\, each night promises a powerful\, close-quarters experience. \nOn stage\, When Rivers Meet remain exactly what they have always been: Grace & Aaron Bond. They are joined by long-time collaborator James Fox\, adding depth and texture through percussion\, guitar\, and backing vocals. With three musicians on stage\, the sound is expansive and full-bodied. \nFresh from a run of remarkable chart success including a Top 10 Official UK Albums Chart entry with Aces Are High and a #4 Official UK Albums Chart with Addicted To You\, alongside multiple Official UK #1 positions across genre and format charts\, When Rivers Meet continue to prove that independence and ambition can go hand in hand. \nThis is When Rivers Meet at their most distilled and most intense. \n  \nGreene \nWhen Rivers Meet are very pleased to announce that Greene will be our special guest for the 2026 Rhythm Rust and Static Tour. \nGreene is the musical project of Joe Anderton. Born in Chelmsford\, Greene takes the maiden name of his mother. After spending some years as a member of Connor Selby’s band\, and lending writing credits to such acts as The Cinelli Brothers\, Anderton now uses Greene as a vessel for his own output. \nA sound that is steeped in pop melodies and often introspective and whimsical lyrics\, Anderton has drawn comparisons to acts such as Loudon Wainwright III\, and is praised for his unique take on universal topics. \nGreene’s debut EP\, The Content Creator\, was released late 2024. 2025’s release\, Now I’ve Got You Listening\, was a departure from the initial sound. A short album that includes some of his most vulnerable work. Greene’s single\, Three Finger Carrie\, shows a subtle nod to the garage rock that has served as an influence. \nGreene’s live performances are personal and profound\, as well as humorous and authentic. \n  \n \nLinks\nwhenriversmeet.co.uk \n

Today\, Buckley’s legacy continues to grow and resonate internationally\, inspiring new listeners while remaining deeply meaningful to those who have carried his music with them for years. \n  \nThat renewed global attention has been further intensified by the recent release of the acclaimed documentary It’s Never Over\, Jeff Buckley\, which has reignited worldwide fascination with his life\, his voice\, and his artistic depth. SUMMARY:Tom Robinson with Adam Phillips
DESCRIPTION:Tall Tales and Top Tunes from 50 Years in the Record Industry 1975-2025\n \nTom Robinson presents an evening of songs and stories from fifty years wandering the wilder shores of the Record Industry. \nClassic hits such as War Baby\, Up Against The Wall\, and 2-4-6-8 Motorway rub shoulders with a Radio 1 ban for being Glad To be Gay\, rocking against racism with The Clash\, writing songs with Elton John\, headlining Glasto with Peter Gabriel\, drug smuggling in East Germany\, two nervous breakdowns and a year in tabloid hell after falling in love with a woman. Plus fan favourites from his vast back catalogue\, spanning Café Society in 1975 to his acclaimed 2015 comeback album Only The Now. \nTom Robinson’s first record release was in 1975 as one-third of Café Society: an acoustic harmony trio discovered by Ray Davies at The Troubadour folk club in London’s Earls Court. The album sold just 500 copies. After seeing an early Sex Pistols gig at The 100 Club\, Tom made a rapid change of direction and formed the Tom Robinson Band with rock guitarist Danny Kustow. TRB were early supporters of Rock Against Racism and soon enjoyed Top 5 success with their debut single for EMI: 2-4-6-8 Motorway. \nBrief notoriety followed in early 1978 with the LGBT anthem Glad To Be Gay\, and a few months later the band’s first album Power In The Darkness entered the charts at No.4. Over the last 50 years Tom’s been mentored by Alexis Korner and Martin Carthy\, written songs with Elton John and Peter Gabriel\, toured with The Police\, Red Wedge and The Undertones\, and Rocked Against Racism for a crowd of 80\,000 – alongside The Clash\, Steel Pulse and X-Ray Spex. \nHe’s been banned by Radio One\, exiled in East Berlin\, and hounded by the tabloids for being in love with a woman. More recently he’s given over ten thousand artists their first national airplay on his BBC Introducing shows for 6 Music and served for ten years on the Ivor Novello Awards committee. At age 75 Tom still enjoys a reputation among his punk contemporaries – and in the world of acoustic/roots music – as both a master songsmith and a funny\, ferocious live performer. \n  \n \nLinks\nwww.tomrobinson.com \n

They showcased at Rotterdam’s Left of the Dial in 2024\, and in 2025 they supported Pete Doherty\, performed multiple times at NYC’s New Colossus Festival\, and released another visionary music video for single ‘Acid Mary’ \n..\nFollowing a litany of acclaimed live shows supporting the likes of The Libertines\, Goat Girl\, Fat Dog and Pretty Sick\, and a busy summer of festivals including Bestival\, the band have just recorded their third studio album with Balazs Altsach (Ugly\, The Orchestra for Now\, Legss)\, leading the group’s zealous genre-hopping into new territories influenced by trip-hop and industrial. SUMMARY:Penetration
DESCRIPTION:Penetration formed in Ferryhill\, County Durham in 1976 at the very beginning of the punk rock phenomenon. An exciting live prospect\, respected by peers and dedicated fans\, the group signed to Virgin Records in 1977 and released their first single\, the punk classic ‘Don’t Dictate’\, that Autumn.  \nTheir debut album\, ‘Moving Targets’\, was released in 1978 to critical acclaim and commercial success (reaching no. 22 in the UK album chart) and showcased a confident outfit that had already expanded its musical and creative vision. Their bass\, drums and twin guitar line-up became a distinctive feature of the band’s sound\, while singer Pauline Murray’s fearless yet vulnerable vocals fitted perfectly with their anthemic and often complex song arrangements. \nThey toured constantly and after a lengthy US trek in the early summer of 1979 returned to make their second album\, ‘Coming Up For Air’. Produced by Steve Lillywhite\, the sessions were rushed and caused tension in the ranks\, but even so produced excellent songs such as ‘Come Into The Open’ (released as a single) and ‘Shout Above The Noise’ that ensured a healthy Top 40 chart placing for the finished record. However\, a combination of stress and pressure from both label and management proved telling factors when Murray announced onstage at Newcastle City Hall that Penetration were splitting up upon completion of their Autumn UK tour. \nMurray and bass player Robert Blamire continued to write together and teamed up with producer\, Martin Hannett to record the proto dream pop single ‘Dream Sequence’ with The Invisible Girls. Released in August 1980\, it was swiftly followed by the Top 30 album ‘Pauline Murray And The Invisible Girls’ (reissued to rave notices by Factory Benelux in 2014) and a tour with John Cooper Clarke. That same year\, Murray also provided guest vocals on the swan song album release by The Only Ones\, ‘Baby’s Got A Gun’ (including the single ‘Fools’)\, while Blamire began an association with the highly rated Scars that resulted in him producing their acclaimed ‘Author Author!’ album. \nIn 2002\, Murray was persuaded to reform Penetration. Of its original members\, only Murray\, Blamire and drummer Gary Smallman remained\, with guitarists Steve Wallace and Paul Harvey (who appeared on the ‘Storm Clouds’ album) augmenting the line-up. Over the ensuing years they have played numerous live shows\, including regular appearances at the UK’s Rebellion punk music festival. They have also released two 7” singles (both on the Damaged Goods label)\, in 2015\, following a crowd funding campaign\, Penetration released their first album in 36 years\, Resolution\, augmented by former Buzzcock John Maher on drums and mixed by original guitarist Fred Purser. \nFurther line up changes have ensued over the following years\, as Penetration have continued to play high profile shows and festivals\, including Bearded Theory and Rebellion\, and 2024 saw them tour the UK playing their debut album Moving Targets in full. In 2023 Pauline published her autobiography Life’s A Gamble to critical acclaim. \n  \n \nLinks\nwww.paulinemurrayx.com \n

DESCRIPTION:Lydia Lunch has crossed paths with Alan Vega and Martin Rev of Suicide upon arrival in New York at age 16\, in the late ’70s. \nThe first Suicide show she attended was a real shock – a revelation of a new form of concert: a total show\, theatrical\, free\, violent. Since then\, a close relationship\, as much artistic as friendship\, has united them. Lydia Lunch performed on “Frankie Teardrop” by Suicide on stage and on record\, and she sang a duet with Alan Vega on the album SNIPER by Alan Vega and Marc Hurtado in 2010. \nMarc Hurtado\, had already met Alan Vega and Lydia Lunch on his Etant Donnés RE-UP album “Be” in 1999 and he formed the project My Lover The Killer in 2013 with Lydia Lunch\, with whom they recorded an album and played on stage. \nSince 2014\, Lydia Lunch and Marc Hurtado have joined forces for events based around Suicide and Alan Vega songs. It will be a kind of sonic “Blitzkrieg” and a visual shamanic ceremony\, where both artists will burn their souls in the volcanic heart of the music of Suicide and Alan Vega. \nLydia Lunch is a nomadic gypsy in eternal metamorphosis that almost lost her life for her art dozens of times in 35 years. Musician\, writer\, photographer and performance artist\, she appeared on the New York music scene in 1977 with the No Wave pioneers\, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. In search of inspiration and cooperation she worked with Karen Finley\, Hubert Selby Jr\, Nick Cave\, William Burroughs or Virginie Despentes\, she lived in New York\, Brooklyn\, New Orleans\, San Francisco\, Pittsburgh\, Los Angeles\, London. She has visited 656 cities to perform on stage for concerts\, spoken-word\, installations in clubs\, theatres and museums. \nMarc Hurtado is a musician\, performer\, poet\, painter\, producer and filmmaker who co-founded the French duo ETANT DONNES with his brother Eric in 1977. He has made more than 20 albums and played concerts around the world in places like Kitchen ( New York)\, the Fondation Cartier (Paris)\, the Centre Pompidou (Paris)\, the Sonar Festival (Barcelona)\, the Atonal Festival (Berlin)\, and Transmusicales (Rennes). \nApart from this duo and solo project Sol Ixent\, he has collaborated with many cult figures including Alan Vega\, Genesis P.Orridge\, Michael Gira (Swans)\, Gabi Delgado (DAF)\, Craig Walker ( Archive)\, Pascal Comelade\, Z’ev\, Philippe Grandrieux\, Christophe\, Saba Komossa (Delkom)\, Mark Cunningham (MARS)\, Bachir Attar and the Master Musicians of Jajouka. His films were screened in Beaubourg Paris\, FID Marseille\, the French Cinematheque in Paris\, the Locarno Film Festival\, BAFICI Festival Buenos Aires\, Mostra de Valencia and recently at the MoMA in New York\, which also acquired his latest feature film “Jajouka\, something good comes to you” for its collection. \n \n \n \nLinks\nwww.lydia-lunch.net \n

SUMMARY:Carole King's Tapestry: An Evening in Laurel Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip\, Laurel Canyon hosted a community of musicians through the 1960’s and 70’s forming a hive of creativity in the age of hippies and flower power. Among Laurel Canyon’s residents were the likes of Neil Young\, James Taylor\, The Byrds\, The Mamas & The Papas\, Eagles\, The Doors and Joni Mitchell. \n  \nPerformed by a live 6-piece band with vocals\, in the first half of this concert you will hear music from the artists listed above as well as many other Laurel Canyon residents during this time. \nIn the second half\, we will perform in its entirety Carole King’s 1971 masterpiece Tapestry. Of all the albums released at this time in the Laurel Canyon community\, Tapestry\, arguably\, sums up this counterculture best. It is a statement of togetherness\, love in all its forms\, feminism\, and endless hope for the future. \n \n \nLinks\nwww.lewes.music \n
