SUMMARY:Skating Polly & Lord Friday the 13th
DESCRIPTION:Skating Polly are hitting the road once again\, bringing their fearless “ugly-pop” vision to audiences alongside Los Angeles-via-Austin provocateurs Lord Friday the 13th for a tour that promises catharsis\, chaos\, and unfiltered punk energy. \n  \nFor more than a decade\, Skating Polly have carved out a singular place in modern punk\, evolving from youthful outsiders into one of the genre’s most inventive and emotionally resonant forces. With Chaos County Line\, the Oklahoma-bred trio—Kelli Mayo\, Peyton Bighorse and Kurtis Mayo—have pushed that evolution even further\, delivering an expansive double album that swings from art-punk abrasion to melodic power-pop while preserving the unruly spirit that has defined the band from the start. \n  \nBuilt around the raw honesty and experimental ambition of Chaos County Line\, the tour arrives as Skating Polly continue a creative high point fueled by some of their most vulnerable and explosive songwriting to date. Songs like “Hickey King\,” “I’m Sorry For Always Apologizing\,” and “Double Decker” showcase a band unafraid to confront identity\, obsession\, and emotional survival\, while channeling those themes into music that feels as exhilarating as it is confrontational. Long admired for turning personal chaos into communal release\, Skating Polly have made a career out of transforming punk into something both abrasive and deeply melodic—music that feels\, as Kelli Mayo has described it\, like armor. \n  \n \n  \n

SUMMARY:The Real People
DESCRIPTION:The Real People were formed by Tony and Chris Griffiths in 1988. \n  \nSigned to CBS in Dec 1989 they released their eponymously named debut album including the singles Window Pane\, Open Up Your Mind and The Truth in 1991. The band then embarked on a series of successful British\, European\, American and Japanese tours\, also appearing at Glastonbury and supporting major artists such as The Pixies\, David Bowie and Inspiral Carpets to name a few. \nThe Realies (as they are known to their fans) then recorded their second album Marshmallow Lane with the help of legendary producer Jimmy Miller (Rolling Stones etc). This album provided the Top 40 single ‘Believer’. \nWhilst touring with Inspiral Carpets\, Chris and Tony took the then Inspirals roadie Noel Gallagher under their wing\, along with his brother Liam and the rest of Oasis. The Real People invited Oasis into their studio to develop and record the new band\, resulting in the now famous Live Demonstration Tape which subsequently secured them a major deal with Alan McGee and Creation Records. Once signed by Creation\, Chris and Tony were instrumental in the recording of Oasis’ first single ‘Supersonic’\, with Tony providing the backing vocals. Chris also co-wrote the B-side to ‘Roll With It’ entitled ‘Rockin’ Chair’ which helped set Oasis on the path to becoming world wide stars and the biggest band of the past 30 years. The Real People also inspired several other Oasis songs such as ‘Columbia’ and ‘Don’t Go Away’. Around this time Chris and Tony continued writing and developing other artists – including writing a Top 10 single for Cher and others. \n  \nIn 1996 The Real People signed to MGL Records and released their third album ‘What’s On The Outside’ which included the singles ‘Rolling Stone’\, ‘Rayners Lane’ and ’People In The Telly’. The band also embarked on tours including numerous tours with their good friends Ocean Colour Scene\, Paul Weller and Simple Minds. The Real People continued writing and touring for the next few years resulting in their now cult following and new albums ’Think Positive’ and ‘Monday Morning Breakdown’. \n \n

SUMMARY:Destroyer (Solo)
DESCRIPTION:Dan Bejar started Destroyer as a solo home-recording project in the early to mid-nineties. Exploring and overturning genres such as glam\, MIDI\, yacht rock\, and even underground Spanish independent artists\, Bejar was proclaimed “Rock’s Exiled King” by The Fader. His is a body of work that consistently flouts convention in favor of musical leaps of faith\, statements of purpose cloaked in subterfuge\, and the joyous refrain of an optimist’s heart cloaked in cynicism. \n  \n \n \nLinks\nwww.websiteaddress.com \n

SUMMARY:John Bramwell (I Am Kloot)
DESCRIPTION:As the singer in I Am Kloot from 1999 to 2014\, John Bramwell achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night\, a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In\, numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014. \n  \nNow\, as a solo artist\, Bramwell travels a very different path\, a path that criss-crosses the length and breadth of the UK with a humble agenda of taking his heartwarming songs to the stage and enjoying another moment in time with his devoted fans. \n  \nThe stunning 2023 sophomore solo album\, The Light Fantastic was an almost complete u-turn from the I Am Kloot outlook they were known for. Darker clouds banished and in replacement strings\, four-part harmonies [a warming development\, since Kloot never had any backing vocals] and a dozen gloriously exhilarating\, beautifully crafted and observed songs about life\, humanity\, the universe and everything. As John put it\, “It’s been great to find the joy of making music once again. These are the most uplifting songs of my career.” \n  \nThe album received unanimous praise from the UK press but it is the all-encapsulating live show where Bramwell conjures up his true magic as songwriter and performer. Bramwell has been on a never-ending rolling adventure since his workings away from Kloot and in the last three years has visited almost every parish in England\, Scotland and Wales to be met with halls\, theatres\, arts centres\, churches\, festival tents and folk clubs full with his eager fans waiting to see which direction Bramwell will take the mood of the night – the enriched\, wildly playful inter-song banter is so good\, a stand up comedy tour has been contemplated. \n  \nBramwell’s razor sharp wit\, on the line and refreshingly true [and often hilarious] observations and instantly recognisable haunting vocal channelled through some of the most honest and direct songwriting of our times has seen Bramwell championed in rave reviews\, time after time. Most recently\, God Is In The TV celebrated John’s 2025 Beautiful Days performance as the highlight of the weekend. \n  \nAs Bramwell looks on to another year the 2026 road extends further and wider than before – a much anticipated tour of Ireland awaits as too many of the UK’s finest venues where John’s cultivated audiences will be treated to an unforgettable evening and experience. \n\n \n \nLinks\njohnbramwell.com \n

SUMMARY:Magnetic Skies
DESCRIPTION:Magnetic Skies are a UK synth-pop and darkwave band whose cinematic electronic sound blends vintage analogue textures with soaring modern songwriting. \nFormed by vocalist/keyboardist Simon Kent and keyboardist Jo Womar\, the project began as a studio collaboration inspired by a shared love of 80s synth-driven post-punk and electronic pop. What started as an experimental recording partnership quickly evolved into a fully realised band\, with drummer Lenin Alegria joining the line-up and helping translate the duo’s atmospheric recordings into an immersive live experience. \nMagnetic Skies first built momentum through a series of EP releases during 2020\, establishing a signature sound built around pulsing basslines\, analogue synthesisers and emotionally charged vocals. Their music draws on the lineage of classic synthpop and new wave while embracing a darker\, cinematic edge\, resulting in a style that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking. \nThe band released their debut album Empire Falling in 2023\, marking their arrival as a major new voice in the UK’s independent electronic scene. The record earned praise across specialist and alternative music press for its blend of darkwave atmosphere and melodic synthpop\, helping the band reach a wider audience and leading to high-profile support slots with artists including Altered Images\, Heaven 17\, Empathy Test and Then Jerico. \nIn 2025\, Magnetic Skies returned with a run of new singles including A Place On Earth and Back To Life\, previewing the band’s second album Fragments. Released in November 2025\, the album expanded the group’s sonic palette while deepening their lyrical themes of connection\, identity and modern dislocation. Produced by Simon Kent with additional production from Rob Aubrey\, Fragments pairs expansive analogue soundscapes with anthemic choruses and emotionally resonant storytelling\, further cementing the band’s reputation for evocative\, widescreen synth music. \nSince their emergence\, Magnetic Skies have become known for atmospheric live performances that blend driving electronic rhythms with dynamic stage energy. Having previously toured the UK in support of their releases\, the band now continue to build on the momentum of Fragments with new live shows across the country.\nWith a growing reputation for crafting synth-driven songs that balance nostalgia with contemporary emotional depth\, Magnetic Skies are steadily establishing themselves as one of the UK’s most compelling modern electronic acts. \nIn June 2026\, the band return to the road for a series of intimate UK dates\, bringing the cinematic soundworld of Fragments to audiences around the country. \n \n \nLinks\nmagneticskies.com \n
