SUMMARY:Tara Lily
DESCRIPTION:Growing up in South London within a British-Bengali household\, Tara Lily developed a singular perspective on music and global culture. \nImmersed in the vibrant sounds of her multicultural surroundings\, she absorbed everything from jazz and electronica to alternative R&B and classical Indian soundscapes. This rich tapestry of influences\, paired with her deep musical insight\, forms the foundation of a sound that is entirely her own. \nIt’s this genre-defying blend—and her authentic understanding of the cultural worlds behind it—that has drawn the attention of tastemakers and icons alike\, including Virgil Abloh\, Gilles Peterson\, Iggy Pop\, Jamie Cullum\, and Motown Records UK\, who signed Tara as their first British artist. Her music refuses to be boxed in; she is\, in every sense\, a musical anomaly. \nTara’s debut album Speak In The Dark is a bold\, introspective record that explores the unspoken—secrets\, desires\, and ancestral memory. Weaving together elements of jazz\, trip-hop\, electronica\, alt-R&B\, and Indian instrumentation\, the album captures the emotional turbulence and creative fire of living with ADHD. \nA fearless and formidable talent\, Tara Lily channels both vulnerability and strength into her work. With Speak In The Dark\, 2024 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for a rising star poised to redefine the boundaries of contemporary music. \n\n\n\n“Amazing voice\, excited to see what she does next”\nVIRGIL ABLOH\n \n“Authenticity personified!”\nEZRA COLLECTIVE (FRMI KOLEOSO)\n \n“Tara makes something glow in the darkness”\nKING KRULE \n\nLinks\nwww.instagram.com/taralilymood \n

SUMMARY:Rioghnach Connolly and Honeyfeet
DESCRIPTION:Ríoghnach Connolly and Honeyfeet return in 2025 with Honeyfeet Presents: The Heads\, Hearts and Hooves Tour\, a bold and celebratory chapter in the journey of one of the most electrifying and genre-defying live acts performing today. Following a string of unforgettable performances\, growing international recognition and a new body of work\, the band sets out across Europe and North America\, carrying their signature blend of protest soul\, twisted folk\, deep groove and joyful abandon. \nAt the heart of Honeyfeet is the indomitable Ríoghnach Connolly\, winner of the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award for Best Folk Singer and BBC Radio 2’s Folk Singer of the Year. Her voice\, equal parts fierce\, tender and fearless\, connects ancestral song traditions with contemporary storytelling. In early 2025\, she joined Annie Lennox on stage at the Royal Albert Hall for “Sisters: Annie Lennox and Friends\,” a landmark concert that raised funds for The Circle\, Lennox’s global feminist organisation. Sharing the bill with artists including Celeste and Nadine Shah\, Connolly brought her singular presence to a night that celebrated the transformative power of music and collective voice. \nThe past eighteen months have seen Honeyfeet on a steady rise. Their “They Want What You’ve Got” tour featured a string of acclaimed performances\, including shows at The Glasshouse in Gateshead and a headline slot at the Albert Hall in Manchester as part of WOMEX 24. Another unforgettable moment came with their performance at the cliffside Minack Theatre in Cornwall\, where the band held the audience in thrall beneath the open sky as the sun dropped into the sea. \nNow\, with The Heads\, Hearts and Hooves Tour\, Honeyfeet widen their reach again. Their summer travels include appearances at Gobefest in Manchester and Plein Publique Festival in Belgium\, before they journey to Canada for performances at Hillside Festival in Ontario\, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and the Calgary Folk Music Festival. They continue through autumn with appearances at Wilderness\, Green Man and Found Festival\, concluding the year with a headline show at Manchester Academy Three. \nHoneyfeet’s lineup: Lorien Garth Edwards on bass\, Ellis Davies on guitar\, John Ellis on keyboards\, Biff Roxby on brass\, and Phill Howley on drums form a fluid and fearless musical unit. Their live sets move seamlessly between swampy jazz\, raucous brass\, fractured funk\, blues balladry\, and folkloric textures\, held together by a groove and a commitment to musical freedom. Connolly’s vocals lead the charge\, blending mischief\, protest and vulnerability into something fiercely human and utterly live. \n\n\n\n“Brilliant Band”\nCRAIG CHARLES\, BBC 6 MUSIC \n“A righteous blast of working-class energy”\nCLASH MUSIC \n“I’m in love with Honeyfeet”\nBENJAMIN ZEPHANIAH \n\nLinks\nhoneyfeet.org \n

SUMMARY:Sham 69
DESCRIPTION:So\, it’s that time of year when things reflect what the world has to offer. \nSHAM 69 again will tour UK and EUROPE to make a stand against the world going mad\, but with their usual form of crash bang wallop. \nThe band have always maintained their mission to be a live working band and will bring you a great full set of songs old and new. Led by Tim V\, who rescued the band from oblivion\, along with Ian Whitewood and Al Campbell\, and now the formidable Paul Brightman on guitar. \nThe new album isn’t the usual offering of Punk/Oi to suit the drones who’ve come out of retirement\, it’s to suit the situation. Never afraid to confront issues or to offend\, this about doing things for the right reasons\, not because the ‘in crowd’ demand. \nThe world has always sat on the edge of doom\, and now it’s closer to the edge and the band have placed this view on wax and CD and\, for the modernists\, ‘download’. \nStaying true to their ethics and not being a old fart jukebox\, the band want to bring you the strength and passion of ‘show’. Life’s too short…follow your belief not your masters. \n\n\n\nLinks\nwww.officialsham69.com \n

SUMMARY:XGenerationX
DESCRIPTION:Celebrated original Generation X drummer Mark Laff returns with XGENERATIONX for a UK tour in November 2025. \nLegendary punk musician Mark Laff is set to make an electrifying comeback in 2025 with his new project\, XGENERATIONX\, performing the songs of Generation X that he played such a key role in creating with Billy Idol. \nMark Laff’s return to the live music scene has been highly anticipated by punk rock fans across the globe. Generation X were an English punk rock band\, formed in London in 1976. They were the musical starting point of the career of their frontman Billy Idol and issued six singles that made the UK singles chart and two albums that reached the UK Albums Chart. The band’s UK hit singles include ‘Your Generation’\, ‘Ready Steady Go’\, ‘King Rocker’ and ‘Valley of the Dolls.’ \nMark Laff started his career as the drummer for the cult band Subway Sect on the notorious Clash White Riot Tour before joining Generation X. In 2007 he reunited with the original Subway Sect lineup and recorded the songs from the tour with the album ‘1978 Now.’ In 1980 Laff formed the post-punk band Empire. Despite little commercial success\, Empire’s album ‘Expensive Sound’ was highly influential. Writing in The Guardian\, Fugazi’s Guy Picciotto described Empire’s one album as “awkward\, unambitious and with only one album\, the trio still left a huge mark\, influencing the Stone Roses as well as the entire DC hardcore scene”. \nIn 1985 Laff formed Twenty Flight Rockers and signed to WEA releasing the fans favourite ‘Tower Block Rock’ and ‘Johnny 7.’ Mark Laff looking forward to the tour commented: “For those who kept the faith\, I promise not to disappoint with this new exciting lineup. I feel it’s important that XGENERATIONX bring new life to the iconic songs from the 1st and 2nd Generation X albums.” \nIn addition to Mark Laff\, the new lineup includes renowned pop rock/rockabilly star Elizabeth Westwood on vocals. Elizabeth fronted the hit 80s band Westworld\, who had success with the UK #11 single ‘Sonic Boom Boy’ and a further UK hit with ‘Ba-Na-Na-Bam-Boo.’ Elizabeth’s connections to Generation X include being in Westworld with guitarist Bob Andrews as well as being his partner at the time. Later on\, Elizabeth was married to James Stevenson who ultimately replaced Andrews as the guitarist Generation X’s final iteration\, Gen X\, in 1980/81. \nXGENERATIONX is poised to capture the spirit of Generation X and its songs while pushing the boundaries of their sound in exciting new directions. Joining Mark Laff and Elizabeth Westwood on this explosive tour is legendary multi-instrumentalist Steve Norman from Spandau Ballet. \nA founding member of one of the most iconic bands of the 80s\, Steve is best known for his dynamic saxophone solos and charismatic stage presence. As Spandau Ballet’s guitarist on the first two albums\, he helped shape the band’s distinctive New Romantic sound\, which saw global hits like ‘To Cut a Long Story Short’\, ‘True’\, ‘Gold’\, and ‘Through the Barricades’ dominate the charts. Steve’s creative energy and fearless approach to performance – in Spandau Ballet and its punk predecessor The Makers – make him the perfect addition to the XGENERATIONX lineup. His musical versatility and edgy guitar sounds will add a fresh dimension to the band’s punk anthems. Reflecting on the collaboration Steve Norman said: “Generation X were the rebels with guitars\, the punk poets of their time. Teaming up with Mark and Elizabeth to push these songs into a new era is going to be something really special. We’re ready to turn up the volume and make some noise!”. \nMichael Giaquinto joins XGENERATIONX on bass. Michael began his playing career with 90s Essex nihilists\, Maniac Squat and enjoyed some success with the single ‘Fuck Off’. He went on to perform in renowned punk band Vice Squad for eight years\, playing bass on multiple recordings and touring extensively around Europe and the United States at festivals and clubs such as the legendary CBGBs. He then spent several years in Brazil\, where he played in Marca Diabo\, the resident house band at the infamous cultural centre Casa Amarela\, backing performing artists of all types\, from contortionists to beat poets. \n\n\n\nLinks\nwww.xgenerationx.com \n

SUMMARY:The Henry Girls
DESCRIPTION:“These sisters have a sensational talent. The quality of their harmony singing goes beyond mere technique. They possess an unerring ability to blend tone and resonance in a seamless fashion”\nTHE EVENING HERALD \nTheir most recent album\, “A Time to Grow\,” is a testament to The Henry Girls’ evolution as artists. Released in January 2024\, the album is a musical journey that reflects the growth and maturity of the trio. Irish national radio station RTE 1 voted “A Time to Grow\,” album of the Week. \nThe Henry Girls have played numerous well known festivals in 2025 including Glastonbury\, Shrewsbury Folk Festival and Cropredy \nThe Henry Girls are sisters Karen\, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin from the most Northerly part of Co. Donegal. The trio formed as a professional music group in 2001 after Lorna and Karen returned from living in Australia where they started to perform and write songs. Joleen the youngest of the three was finishing her leaving certificate and was becoming a very promising harp and piano player so it was a natural progression to join together. They wrote and recorded their first album later that year\, produced by Maire Breathnach. They have since gone on to record 5 more original studio albums\, a couple of EP´s and a live album of music by The Boswell Sisters of New Orleans (released February 2020) \nInfused with the rich cultural heritage of their native Donegal but with a transatlantic flavour their music has been described as ʻfullbodied and powerfully dynamicʼ by Froots magazine. They have successfully learned to interweave their traditional roots with contemporary elements\, earning them both commercial success and spectacular critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. \nAs well as writing and recording albums The Henry Girls have written and performed music for Theatre productions\, Dance pieces\, Childrens shows and film and television \, including the Canadian/Irish co-production “A shine of Rainbows (2008) for which they received an IFTA nomination for their contribution to the musical score. \nWhat sets The Henry Girls apart is their distinctive sound\, a captivating fusion of harp\, fiddle\, accordion\, and tight\, impressive three-part harmonies. The harmonious interplay between these instruments and their hauntingly beautiful vocals creates a sonic experience that transcends boundaries\, capturing the essence of both their Irish roots and a global musical spirit. \nThe Henry Girls have graced stages at festivals and venues around the world\, leaving audiences in awe of their exceptional musicianship and heartfelt performances. From the intimate settings of Irish pubs to large international festivals\, their music has resonated with people from diverse backgrounds\, connecting them through the universal language of melody and harmony. \n\n\n\n“The confidence and control of musicianship comes at you straight away\, through a blending of instrumentation\, harmonies\, striking lyrics and wonderful vocals”\nIRISH MUSIC MAGAZINE \n“The Henry Girls are one of those musical acts that you just want to tell people about-as many as you can. The writing is first rate\, as is the instrumentation\, and those harmonies! I can’t say or write enough. Go seek them out yourself. You will be glad you did.”\nMUSIC NEWS NASHVILLE \n“The Henry Girls are a force in Folk and Americana music.”\nTHE ALTERNATE ROOT-USA \n“Ireland might have to finally share it’s pride and joy with the rest of us\, It’s time for America to discover The Henry Girls.”\nTHE HUFFINGTON POST- USA \n\nLinks\nwww.thehenrygirls.com \n

SUMMARY:Luke Jackson
DESCRIPTION:Canterbury based singer songwriter Luke Jackson has been touring and recording for over 10 years now\, steadily developing an enviable reputation for himself in the Folk\, Roots\, Americana & Acoustic circuits. \nIn addition to the UK\, Luke regularly tours across Europe\, USA and Canada. Between his debut album ‘More Than Boys’\, through to his latest release in 2022\, (coincidentally a re-recorded 10th anniversary version of ‘More Than Boys’) 5 records\, including a live album were released to high praise and 5* reviews! September 2019 marked his first full solo tour in the USA and his last full length studio album ‘Journals’ was released in November that year to great reviews and was made ‘Album of the Year’ by Fatea Magazine\, with R2 Magazine saying ‘Journals’ is an excellent album from a very special singer with a great repertoire\, fully confirming his star potential beyond the folk scene’. After going back to both Europe and the USA in early 2020 for another two successful tours. \nLuke kept himself busy throughout 2020 and engaged with the musical community through a series of themed live stream shows. After a bit of a creative writing surge\, released a 7 track EP in early 2021 of songs written during lockdown called ‘Of The Time’ which garnered great reviews with ‘At The Barrier’ noting “At a time when the gift of music is something to cherish\, ‘Of The Time’ is an inspired offering” and it was subsequently voted 2021 EP of the Year by Fatea Magazine! 2022 turned out to be one of Luke’s most successful years yet. It started with a prestigious support slot opening for Fairport Convention on their Winter Tour\, a dream run of openers for Richard Thompson\, two weeks songwriting and performing in Nashville\, including a show at the iconic Bluebird Cafe\, a run of shows supporting the legendary Marillion and to finish off the year\, several openers with the wonderful Jools Holland. Luke continues to tour relentlessly in his own right\, either solo or as a trio with bassist & drummer & 2023 is already shaping up to be another exciting year of shows with a full album release planned for late summer. \n\n\n\n“Blessed with one of those soulful\, heaven-sent voices that soars with emotion or plunges into brooding intensity.”\nTHE MUSICIAN MAGAZINE \n“He is one of the most distinctive voices\, both literally and figuratively\, on the contemporary folk scene.”\nFOLK RADIO UK \n“I was hugely impressed by every part of Luke’s music – he’s a great singer\, writer and performer\, a striking new voice.”\nFRANK TURNER \n\nLinks\nwww.lukepauljackson.com \n

SUMMARY:Heathen Apostles
DESCRIPTION:Forming the Heathen Apostles in 2013\, Mather Louth (Radio Noir) and rock n roll veteran Chopper Franklin (The Cramps\, Mau Maus\, Nick Curran & the Lowlifes) quickly uncovered a mutual appreciation for murder balladry\, Americana\, and memento mori. \nThe band’s sonic landscape was further tilled with the addition of Thomas Lorioux (Kings of Nuthin’\, Legendary Shack Shakers) on bass and Luis Mascaro on violin. \nTheir 7 critically acclaimed albums\, along with their many EPs and singles (their release The Fall was named Best E P of 2018 by Folk n Rock magazine)\, capture the essence of the Heathen Apostles modus operandi: Southern Gothic Americana imagery surrounded by haunting\, minor-chord melodies\, musical influences including Gothic Roots music\, Bluegrass\, Blues\, and Gypsy Jazz\, all deftly bound together by the band’s dark and sometimes brooding sense of a bygone age. \n\n\n\nLinks\nwww.heathenapostles.com \n

SUMMARY:Tom Robinson with Adam Phillips
DESCRIPTION:Tom Robinson presents an evening of songs and stories from fifty years wandering the wilder shores of the Record Industry. \nClassic hits such as War Baby\, Up Against The Wall\, and 2-4-6-8 Motorway rub shoulders with a Radio 1 ban for being Glad To be Gay\, rocking against racism with The Clash\, writing songs with Elton John\, headlining Glasto with Peter Gabriel\, drug smuggling in East Germany\, two nervous breakdowns and a year in tabloid hell after falling in love with a woman. Plus fan favourites from his vast back catalogue\, spanning Café Society in 1975 to his acclaimed 2015 comeback album Only The Now \nTom Robinson’s first record release was in 1975 as one-third of Café Society: an acoustic harmony trio discovered by Ray Davies at The Troubadour folk club in London’s Earls Court. The album sold just 500 copies. \nAfter seeing an early Sex Pistols gig at The 100 Club\, Tom made a rapid change of direction and formed the Tom Robinson Band with rock guitarist Danny Kustow. TRB were early supporters of Rock Against Racism and soon enjoyed Top 5 success with their debut single for EMI: 2-4-6-8 Motorway. Brief notoriety followed in early 1978 with the LGBT anthem Glad To Be Gay\, and a few months later the band’s first album Power In The Darkness entered the charts at No.4. \nOver the last 50 years Tom’s been mentored by Alexis Korner and Martin Carthy\, written songs with Elton John and Peter Gabriel\, toured with The Police\, Red Wedge and The Undertones\, and Rocked Against Racism for a crowd of 80\,000 – alongside The Clash\, Steel Pulse and X-Ray Spex. He’s been banned by Radio One\, exiled in East Berlin\, and hounded by the tabloids for being in love with a woman. \nMore recently he’s given over ten thousand artists their first national airplay on his BBC Introducing shows for 6 Music and served for ten years on the Ivor Novello Awards committee. At age 75 Tom still enjoys a reputation among his punk contemporaries – and in the world of acoustic/roots music – as both a master songsmith and a funny\, ferocious live performer. \n\n\n\nLinks\nwww.tomrobinson.com\nwww.instagram.com/seygabrielle \n

SUMMARY:Los Pacaminos
DESCRIPTION:Los Pacaminos was formed in summer 1992\, when UK pop star Paul Young’s love of all things Tex-Mex led to exploratory discussions with some like-minded musician friends. Within a few weeks\, Los Pacaminos was born and rehearsals had begun. \nThe band was originally a six-piece. Joining Paul were guitarist and singer Jamie Moses\, accordion/keyboard player Matt Irving\, singer/songwriter Drew Barfield\, bassist Steve Greetham and drummer Mark Pinder. \nIn November 1992\, the boys took to the stage for their first ever gig at the White Horse in Richmond\, Matt’s local watering-hole. They went down a storm. \nDespite expectations that the band would fall apart when something more important came along\, the exact opposite happened. With every show\, their friendships grew stronger\, the band played tighter\, and the seeds of their loyal fanbase had been sown. \nWhile Paul’s name was used in gig promotion\, the Los Pacaminos name and the boys’ trademark stetsons made it clear this wasn’t a Paul Young show. In time\, the band started writing and performing their own songs\, and the boys knew this wasn’t going to be a short-term project. \nIn 1997\, after five years of gigging\, Jamie introduced Paul to Melvin Duffy\, a pedal steel player he’d played with\, and suggested Melvin play on a few songs at the next show. Paul remembers it well: “As soon as Mel took the first solo\, we all melted. He had to be in the band\, the decision wasn’t his to make!” \nIn 2002\, as an established seven-piece band\, the Pacs delighted their fans with the release of their eponymous first album. Comprising 12 original songs that ran through their influences\, including the Texas Tornados\, Doug Sahm\, Flaco Jimenez\, Roy Orbison\, The Band\, Chuck Berry\, Ry Cooder and Calexico\, ‘Los Pacaminos’ pulled in an impressive array of positive reviews. These songs\, together with a number of acclaimed covers\, became the backbone of their set list over the coming years. \nIn 2015\, the boys lost their dear friend and founder member Matt Irving after a long battle with cancer. Although Matty’s boots were very big boots to fill\, Steve “Woody” Oakman stepped in as the band’s accordionist a year later. Woody has been a key member ever since. \nLos Pacaminos are now in their 30th year and show no signs of hanging up their boots. With an unmatched live reputation\, two acclaimed studio albums and two live albums under their belts\, they continue to explore and perform the music of the Southwest. \nThroughout 2023\, Los Pacaminos performed a series of 30th anniversary shows across the UK. To coincide with the tour\, and to celebrate the milestone of three decades together\, the band also released a brand new album.
