Paul&nbsp;Smith&nbsp;is best known as the singer for the Newcastle-based art-rock group Maxïmo Park, but has released three acclaimed solo albums and collaborated with the likes of folk singer Rachel Unthank, and Field Music's Peter Brewis. He continues to perform and record with the band - their eighth album, 'Stream Of Life', was released last September.&nbsp;Smith's solo concerts are known for their conversational intimacy and their mix of grunge-inspired power pop combined with fingerpicked melancholy. In 2021 Vision Video released their debut LP, Inked in Red, which told the story of lead singer Dusty Gannon (aka TikTok’s “Goth Dad”) and the darkness he saw as a soldier in Afghanistan.This story continues with 2022’s Haunted Hours, which explores Dusty’s experience as a firefighter and paramedic during one of the darkest times in recent history. Working on the frontlines of a deadly pandemic immediately after leaving the horrors of war transformed Dusty’s songwriting resulting in a more accessible album as the subject matter has touched us all.The theme of Haunted Hours is most clearly illustrated in the lead single “Beautiful Day to Die.” Musically, the track is light and airy with a clear ‘80s Brit Pop influence. Of the lyrics Dusty explains: “I wrote this song about how I had to become friends with the concept of mortality because I was around it so regularly. MISTY BLUES BANDBand founder and lead singer, Gina Coleman, entered the music scene in the early 90’s as the lead singer of the folk/rock group Cole-Connection. It wasn’t until 1999 when she played a gospel singer in the Williamstown Theatre Festival production of A Raisin In The Sun that she was steered down the path of blues. The lead actor in the production, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, told Coleman that he felt her... voice was well suited to sing classic blues. This sentiment was echoed by actor/singer, Mandy Patinkin, who sought her out after seeing the opening performance of the production. After actress Gwyneth Paltrow commented on her performance, Coleman knew a musical shift was imminent. Guitarist Jason Webster and bassist Bill Patriquin from Cole-Connection were on board and thus began Misty Blues.With a deficit of blues music in the Berkshires at the time, they felt the musical change would be well received. Misty Blues pays homage to the older blues made popular by the bold and brassy women of its time, while still paying respect to classic male artists of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. The band hasn’t completely abandoned their musical roots; they have been known to perform classic rock and folk tunes infused with a healthy dose of the blues. Over the years, Misty Blues has produced ten albums. Dawn Landes is a North Carolina-based singer-songwriter whose music you might have heard if you watch The Good Wife, House or Gossip Girl. Along with releasing seven albums and five EPs since 2005, she’s a frequent collaborator with contemporaries such as Sufjan Stevens, Norah Jones and composer Nico Muhly. She has appeared with the Boston Pops, the NYC Ballet and on the TED main stage. Her musical ROW about fellow Kentucky native Tori Murden McClure’s quest to become the first woman to row across the Atlantic Ocean premiered in 2021 at Williamstown Theatre Festival and is available on Audible.Her forthcoming release is The Liberated Woman’s Songbook, an album of folk songs that leads us through a history of women’s activism from the 1800’s through the high times of Women’s Lib in the 1970’s. The album was produced by her longtime collaborator Josh Kaufman (Bonny Light Horseman) and features guests including Emily Frantz (Watchhouse, formerly Mandolin Orange), Kanene Pipkin (The Lone Bellow) Charly Lowry, Rissi Palmer and Lizzy Ross (Violet Bell).

In addition, their influence helped bring international notice to a resurgent Scottish musical community, with frontman Stephen Pastel's legendary&nbsp;53rd and 3rd&nbsp;label helping to launch the careers of bands including the&nbsp;Jesus &amp; Mary Chain,&nbsp;Shop Assistants,&nbsp;BMX Bandits,&nbsp;the Vaselines, and&nbsp;the Soup Dragons.&nbsp;

Miranda Sex Garden’s sold out one-night show at London’s 100 Club in July 2022, was a long-awaited spring blossom after twenty years of winter. In the Autumn of 2023 they returned for another London show, followed by a UK wide tour leading up to a headline slot at Wave Gotik Treffen in 2024 as well as more headline shows in the EU and UK in support of their latest EP, &#39;Velvetine&#39;.Rooted in madrigal traditions and later cross-bred with goth-industrial and prog-rock cuttings, their musical hybrid has borne many fruit. They topped the classical charts with 1990’s &#39;Madra&#39;. They’ve toured with the likes of Depeche Mode, Nick Cave &amp; the Bad Seeds, Hole and Einstürzende Neubauten. They’ve released 4 follow-up studio albums, including their last – the critically acclaimed, show-stopping &#39;Carnival of Souls&#39;.Their current arrangement includes founding member Katharine Blake as vocalist, with Trevor Sharpe (Minty, The Servant) on drums, Teresa Casella (Wasted Youth) on bass and Justine Armatage (The Cesarians) on keyboards. Founding member and guitarist Ben Golomstock died in 2018, but his sound lives on through Jimmy Martin. ‘Songs for the Mist Forest’ is the second album by childhood friends, classical guitarist Morgan Szymanski and artist Tommy Perman. While their first album explored sounds of the Scottish woodland where Tommy’s parents live, their new album is inspired by Morgan’s ranch in the mist forests of Valle de Bravo, Mexico.The music evolved from a soundtrack Morgan and Tommy produced for the documentary film ‘El Dragón de los Bosques de Niebla’ (The Dragon of the Mist Forest). The documentary shines a light on the ecocide that’s happening in Valle de Bravo. Overdevelopment is destroying the forests that are home to Abronias, beautiful small reptiles native to the region and the ‘dragons’ of the film’s title.Through 11 new compositions Morgan and Tommy expand on the documentary’s theme of environmental crisis. Their music fuses Morgan’s guitar-playing with numerous field recordings of Valle’s local wildlife and habitat using a series of innovative production techniques. The album highlights certain species that are close to disappearing: fireflies, birds, crickets, and Abronias which are now on the red list. Together Morgan and Tommy have crafted a suite of music that celebrates the beauty and vitality of our natural world and provides a call-to-action to save it while we still can.
